The Girl Who Stopped Swimming, Joshilynn Jackson
First line: “Until the drowned girl came to Laurel’s bedroom, ghosts had never walked in Victorianna.”
Take one sixth-sense suburban mom, add a dead girl floating in the pool, a spooky girl from the wrong side of the tracks and a trash-talking sister, and you have one helluva suspenseful family drama. Jackson is now on my must-read list.

How adorable! I’m sure their tiff wasn’t so adorable to your ears but to my eyes it sure is. Kids are funny!
