Mrs. Perfect

Mrs. Perfect, by Jane Porter

First line: “Zooming into the country club parking lot, I snag a spot close to the club pool.”

Mrs. Perfect follows golden PTA princess Taylor Young, wife of gorgeous former quarterback, mother of three golden-haired goddesses. In a nutshell, Taylor’s got it all. She’s the alpha mom we all love to hate. Porter’s simple, direct language aims and hits us right in the head and then again in the heart as we get to know the real Taylor beneath the Botoxed exterior. Fact is we all know someone like Taylor. Maybe we even see parts of her inside of us. Porter knows this, knows women, our frailties, our protective masks we wear to shield us from the harsh and judgmental realities of our lives. The book reads like a juicy diary, and I gobbled it up in two sittings. It’s as scrumptious as the cake on the cover. Life is far from perfect, but this mommy novel is about as close as it gets.

For both working and stay-at-home moms wanting some dishy insight into a Mrs. Perfect personality.- Malena Lott

  1. I’m so glad you recommended this book! I couldn’t put it down and it’s been a long time since I’ve been that excited to read a book! I’ve since requested another book by this author from the library and can’t wait to read it!
