Everyone She Loved by Sheila Curran
First line: Penelope Cameron May had more money than God, which may have explained her need to play the deity from time to time.
The wealthy Penelope has died, just like she thought she would, and fate seemed to have told her to get all of her best girlfriends and her husband to sign an agreement giving her friends a say in who her husband re-married after her passing. With two children, Pamela didn’t want the same misdeed happening to her kids as happened to her as a child. And so begins the tale of what happens AFTER. The read is most definitely unique and eventful, with several surprise curves along the journey. And, really, can you resist a cover with kids’ rain boots and a great title? I know I couldn’t.
I loved how Curran gives us a nice examination of friendship and how our friends often know what’s best for us, even if we may hate hearing it.
