I am late to the FRIDAY NIGHT KNITTING CLUB bandwagon, and I’m happy to report the gals are still knitting, laughing and bringing good things to life three books later. I’m reading the book now, and wanted to make sure you knew about it before Christmas arrives. And, no, you don’t have to be a knitter to enjoy the yarns she spins. Jacobs is responsible for making knit lit a veritable genre in itself and she’s the queen of the hive for a reason. -ML
KNIT THE SEASON by Kate Jacobs
Product Description
Knit the Season is a loving, moving, laugh-out-loud celebration of special times with friends and family. The story begins a year after the end of Knit Two, with Dakota Walker’s trip to spend the Christmas holidays with her Gran in Scotland-accompanied by her father, her grandparents, and her mother’s best friend, Catherine. Together, they share a trove of happy memories about Christmases past with Dakota’s mom, Georgia Walker-from Georgia’s childhood to her blissful time as a doting new mom. From Thanksgiving through Hanukkah and Christmas to New Year’s, Knit the Season is a novel about the richness of family bonds and the joys of friendship.
About the Author
Kate Jacobs is the author of The Friday Night Knitting Club, Knit Two, and Comfort Food. A former magazine writer and editor, she lives in Los Angeles with her husband.
I try to knit (and sew and bake and basically try to do anything domestic that does not involve cleaning), and I really think that the Knit books will lure any casual knitter into an upscale yarn shop! Great reads, great girl-power, look your drama in the eye and own it books. So happy to hear there’s a third in the series!
Read the first two. Loved them. I didn’t know there is a third…woo hoo!
