National Library Week

Our primary goal at Book End Babes is to promote reading, period. While we want to support the book industry by buying books ourselves, libraries are very important consumers in the book trade and frankly, lot of Americans wouldn’t be able to read without their local library. Plus, many small towns don’t have book stores so the local library is THE place to hang out and find new adventures. This week we’ll be trolling around the Internet to find cool architecture, programs and web sites of libraries out there.

SeattlePublicLibraryOur featured library today is the ultra-modern Seattle Public Library. How cool is this?!

What’s your favorite library memory?
Do you have a library we should mention this week?
Are you a librarian? We’d like to get to know you better.

If so, leave a comment or send an e-mail to bookendbabes (at) me (dot) com.

Take some time this week to support programs put on by your local library.

To celebrate the kick off of NLW, HGTV put together this beautiful display of reading nooks. If you have a cozy reading nook, send me a pic and I’ll post it on BEB.
