Blatant Self Promotion

Okay, I finally launched the social media campaign for my non-fiction book Inspired MBA. There is lots more to come. I’ve only told a few people I’m writing this book, since I wanted it to be at least 75% finished before I started blabbing about it.

The book is everything I wished I’d know before I started selling my jewelry line. It’s not just for artists. It’s for anyone wanting to sell a product to the market. I cover trunk shows, trade shows, art shows, PR, pricing, booth design, sales reps, etc. It’s everything I used to turn my glass beadmaking hobby into a 6 figure income in about 4 years.

I’ve started the social media campaign with a Twitter account @inspiredMBA , Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Inspired-MBA/161553413876891 (need 25 likes to become /InspiredMBA) , and a blog http://www.inspiredmba.com . I’m hoping to make snippets available to people for free, to get them interested in the whole book.

The book will be available as an eBook on Amazon. I will have a book launching party at that time. I’m hoping to have a really good time with this.

Yes, I could have gone the traditional route and sent a proposal to agents (and I still might),  but I’m going to get this puppy out to the public in less time than tradition publishing takes. And who knows, the publishers might pick up on it and decided it’s a book for them afterall. It’s happened you know. Mary Janice Davidson was discovered when an editor found her ebook.

Okay, so there you have it. Inspired MBA: The Art of Business by Jamie Dierks.

More details to come as they are available.
