I’ve gathered my favorite well-read chicks to contribute on the site. Review credits are included at the end of each review.
Malena Lott, author, Dating da Vinci & The Stork Reality
Founder, Book End Babes
Malena reads as much as she writes, so she finds Book End Babes the perfect fit – justification for reading four books at once and taking a break from her fiction writing to share cool books she thinks deserve extra buzz. Her second novel, Dating da Vinci, about a young widow’s renaissance and search for joy with the help of an immigrant named Leonardo da Vinci was published in November of ‘08. Malena believes balance only applies to Pilates, yet she does manage to juggle being a work-at-home mom of three kids, writing, brand & marketing consulting and spending time with many amazing girlfriends and her hubby of 15 years, Rod.

Jenny Coon Peterson, writer
There are at least three books stacked on my nightstand at all times – no exceptions. The written word is a hugely important part of my life as both a reader and a writer. My other passion is travel (next stop, the Pacific northwest) and when I’m not heading out on a new adventure, I’m reading about the far flung corners of the globe I long to visit.
My husband and I – he’s the music snob to my reading nerd – and our two cats live in downtown Oklahoma City and can most often be found hanging out in the Paseo, exploring the outdoors or playing a heated game of Scrabble. If you’re in the metro area, pick up the latest issue of the Oklahoma Gazette and check out my weekly column, ShopGirl.
My Top Five Books of All Time:
-Harry Potter series (if I had to only pick one – Sophie’s Choice – I’d go with Prisoner of Azkaban), JK Rowling
-Pride & Prejudice, Jane Austen
-The Secret Garden, Frances Hodgson Burnett
-The God of Small Things, Arundhati Roy
-Wicked, Gregory Maguire
Kathy Wheeler, romance reviewer
Kathy has a BA degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in Management Information Systems that includes over forty credit hours of vocal music. As a computer programmer over the past eleven years, she outlets her vocal music talents through karaoke. Other passions include fantasy football and jazzercise, because to quote Nora Roberts to a one time question if she worked out, “You have to get off your ass.”
Kathy started writing romance several years back and has been a member of the Oklahoma Chapter of Romance Writer’s of America and the National Organization since March of 2006. She grew up in the Dallas area and definitely considers herself a city girl. She does not limit her travels to Writer Conferences in San Francisco, Washington DC, Seattle, Dallas and Atlanta because Jazzercise has fun conferences too (Denver, Palm Springs and Orlando). You can’t keep her at home!
An avid reader of romance and patron of theatre her main sources of inspiration come from mostly an over-active imagination. Go figure! She currently resides in Edmond, Oklahoma with her husband, Al; dog, Willie; and new family member—Carly, the cat.
