Malena Lott, author, Dating da Vinci & The Stork Reality

Founder, Book End Babes

Malena is on a mission. When she heard most folks only read one book a year, she knew she had to take to the interwebs and promote reading for fun and making it a part of our daily lives. Like most writers, she’s an avid reader, reading up to four books at once – all different, no plot confusion – and loves to share cool books and authors she thinks deserve extra buzz. Malena is a published author of two novels, married mama of three and brand strategist, living in Oklahoma.

Kathy Wheeler, Romance

Me.JPG.w300h225Never met a female fantasy football fanatic? Now you have! Make that one who jazzercises, even. As Nora Roberts once said when she was asked if she works out, “You have to get off your ass.”
Kathy started writing romance several years back and has been a member of the Oklahoma Chapter of Romance Writer’s of America and the National Organization since March of 2006. She grew up in the Dallas area and definitely considers herself a city girl. She does not limit her travels to Writer Conferences in San Francisco, Washington DC, Seattle, Dallas and Atlanta because Jazzercise has fun conferences too (Denver, Palm Springs and Orlando). You can’t keep her at home!
An avid reader of romance and patron of theatre her main sources of inspiration come from mostly an over-active imagination. Go figure! She currently resides in Edmond, Oklahoma with her husband, Al; dog, Willie; and new family member—Carly, the cat.

Carmen popped out of the womb with pen in hand, ready to write. She’s got a romantic comedy novel, THE LIST (www.tinyurl.com/buythelist) under her belt and several other projects in the works. Once upon a time, she broke open a fortune cookie, and the paper inside read “you will step on the soil of many countries.” She took that as a command, and paired her love of writing with her love of travel and photography to compose advice and inspiration for others so that they might take their own journeys.

Mari Farthing
mari-head shot for blogMari Farthing is a military wife, mom of two and magazine editor. In her free time (all 15 minutes of it), she likes to cook, discover new music, read, watch movies, run and share drinks with friends … not necessarily in that order. Mari firmly believes that life is best lived with a wicked sense of humor, a willingness to listen, a stash of cute accessories, an open heart for others and a very dirty martini. Follow her on Twitter @marifarthing.

Dani Stone
dani katie easterAs a Mom by day, insurance editor by night and staff writer for VerbICT in between, Dani is on a permanent quest for balance and the perfect cup of coffee. The insurance editing gig might pay the bills but her staff writing position lets the creative side of her brain out of its cage.

She considers her single most important job to be the one where she is the kisser of boo-boos and the maker of grilled cheese sandwiches. As a stand-up-comedian in her own mind, she is a simultaneous source of amusement and embarrassment to her husband of eleven years and her two children.

In her brief moments of spare time, Dani loves to read and then talk about what she’s reading with the book club she founded almost a year ago. Their book club motto: “we don’t judge.” This typically results in outlandish discussions where nothing is off limits.

Since 2006, Dani has been raising awareness for Vein Of Galen Malformation, a rare brain disorder her daughter has battled since birth. Dani is currently working toward the creation of a VOGM website where parents can find information, qualified surgeons and support.

If you want to see what Dani is writing about the great flat state of Kansas you can find her here, www.VerbICT.com

When her insanity needs a place to run amok, Dani can be found on the perfect playground, Twitter. If you want to come along for THAT ride, you can find her here. www.twitter.com/@danimichelle.
