Shelby has three sisters all by different dads. She openly describes her mother as a sexpot and the description – welcomed and enjoyed by said mother – is not far off (I’d go more with slut than sexpot). When tragedy strikes, the four close sisters, who raised each other more than their mom, are torn apart and shipped to their fathers. This tale is a poignant look at the bond of sisters and, although written for a younger audience, is enjoyable.
