Danger in a Red Dress

Danger In A Red Dress by Christina Dodd

First Line:  ”Hannah Grey could not remember when she’d enjoyed a funeral more.”

Christina Dodd is known more for her Historical line than her contemporaries, but she does not disappoint.  This is the third in her contemporary series and it certainly lives up to its two predecessors.

Hannah, an in-home RN caregiver whose most recent patient has passed on to the next chapter of his full life.  She was such a terrific and caring nurse that he left her $50,000 in his will.  Needless to say, the family is not thrilled with this turn of events.  As a result they accuse her of sexual misconduct, have her nursing license revoked and try to tie the money up with legal maneuvers.

Enter Carrick Manly who is eager to help Ms. Grey get a job.  As a nursemaid to his cranky, arthritic, diabetic mother.  Carrick’s mother has been hiding his absent father’s fortune for years, Carrick is so desperate for.  So Carrick hires Gabriel Prescott (our hero) for his security services.

Unfortunately, for Carrick, his mother takes to Hannah.  One more itsy bitsy, teeny weeny little twist…. Gabriel is one of Carrick’s five half-brothers Carrick’s never met.

So, you see, this is a must read from Christina Dodd.  Enjoy…..
