Confession: I have a thing for all things paper. Every shape, size, color and purpose gives me goosebumps. I love great design and the possibility provided by the blank page within. So not a huge surprise that many of our BEbabes Impulse Prizes will be of the paperie variety.

This week’s Impulse Prize, provided by BEbabes, is a cute hot pink, black and green notecard set, pictured.

Let this also be a call to the old-fashioned: send real-live notes to friends. I use cute notecards instead of business envelopes to pay my vendors, send school photos to family, and thank you notes, though not often enough. Every Monday, I’ll offer up a BEbabe challenge, a call to action that stretches us to BE. BE a better friend. BE a more vocal supporter of reading and the book industry. This week our BE challenge is to mail a real-life notecard to someone. Pen to paper, stamp in the corner, the whole she-bang. Include a quote from your favorite author or favorite book. If you do the challenge, let me know in the comments section, and you’ll get one extra entry for our Impulse Prize this week.
